In a previous Intranet Use, we identified trade secret protection as one of the functions of an intranet. However, protecting trade secrets should not interfere with facilitating — indeed, nurturing — interactions between employees and customers. The type of visibility can vary, depending on the kind of customer and the nature of interactions with them. Took a customer to lunch? Take a photo of the two of you. Post it to a gallery.
